Doctor Blade Non-Stick Renew
KLE in its constant pursuit to develop image improving products has developed Doctor Blade Non Stick Renew Coating, which improves image quality and extends the life of the doctor blade and magnetic roller.
The coating was developed from many requests from the laser printer industry, to provide a product that would improve image quality and extend the life of the toner cartridge. We found that many of the problems they were having such as streaks, light print, ghosting, white lines, banding, and voids, were due to worn, degraded, dirty, or aged doctor blades causing improper flow of toner. Doctor Blade Non Stick Renew prevents this by not allowing toner and additives from sticking and attacking the doctor blade while at the same time sealing the blade preventing aging.
The doctor blade is the device in the cartridge that adjust the amount and height of toner on the magnetic roller. The height and amount of toner determines the density and resolution of the image, that is finally put on paper.
If toner is stuck to the doctor blade or the doctor blade has a wax buildup on it due the wax that is found in toner, toner will be prevented from going to the magnetic roller, resulting in a lack of toner available for the image. Also, if the toner is mono-component as in the Canon based cartridges, the iron oxide center will wear and abrade the magnetic roller. In the worst case this can even score the roller, seen as concentric lines around the roller.
KLE Doctor Blade Non Stick Renew Coating seals the doctor blade and prevents anything from sticking or attacking it. The blade is sealed with a polymerized coating which also prevents aging, due to oxidation and out-gassing, stopping doctor blade failure.Application Directions
The Doctor Blade Non-Stick Renew
Coat is concentrated to allow you to apply a small amount to attain a non stick
surface, reducing toner build up, thus preventing degradation of image quality
and damage to the Magnetic Roller.
