Omega Conductive Padding Powder is designed specifically to provide maximum lubrication thus reducing OPC drum wear, while improving charging from the PCR.Omega Padding Powder
The Omega product has been designed to increase lubrication and eliminate the problem experienced by many using standard padding powder of black specks appearing on the printed image from the powder contaminating the PCR. Standard powders are non-conductive thus establishing a barrier that insulates the charge from being transferred between the PCR and the OPC drum, resulting in the black dots. Omega unique molecular metal system however conducts charge eliminating the dots while providing the highest lubrication in the industry. This allows the OPC drum to be covered with padding powder resulting in less wear and the thickest layer of lubrication to the wiper blade.
In testing against all major padding powders now available, Omega provided greater lubrication, reducing wear by as much as 3 times. In one test, a cartridge was set up to produce a noticeable hum, caused by drag of the wiper blade on the OPC drum. Omega immediately eliminated the hum while the industries other leading padding powders failed.
Application DirectionsPadding Powder is a dry lubricant used to clean and lubricate the OPC drum. Do not clean OPC drum with alcohol.
Step 1: Place the padding in a new cotton sock. If you like you can use two cotton socks, one inside the other, to regulate the flow of padding powder.
Step 2: Tap the OPC drum with the padding powder in the sock. Apply a thin coat around the drum
Step 3: Wipe off the drum in one direction only with a clean cotton ball.
Step 4: The drum should now be clean.
Step 5: Before installing the drum back into the cartridge apply another coat of padding powder to the drum.
Step 6:
Also apply padding powder to the edge of the wiper blade.Home | Color Cartridge Prices | Color Instructions | Customer Comments | Doctor Blade Renew | Black Mag Renew | IBM/Lex Dev Roller | PCR Polycoat | OPC Polycoat | Silver Mag Renew | PCR Ultracoat
